Johnson City Schools prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. Johnson City Schools does not condone or practice discrimination in admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its programs or activities. Because of necessary cuts to the general-purpose school budget, Johnson City Schools will no longer offer community adult evening classes. Every effort will be made to assist adults in locating comparable programs at local community and colleges.
The First Frontier Adult Education program will focus on High School Equivalency preparation classes funded through the Department of Labor.
This project is funded by the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development, with assistance from Johnson City Schools and the Adult Volunteer Literacy Council of Johnson City, INC.
